It rained on our wedding day. Not only did it rain, it stormed with 40mph winds. Our videographer went to the wrong hotel and our photographer was an hour later than expected because the weather was literally that crazy to drive in. Thankfully it stopped when it was time for everyone to head to the venue. And hey... they say it's good luck!
I wore a Maggie Sottero gown called the Chesney from their bridal collection. I customized it by having a crystal beaded jacket sewn on to the dress to make it one piece instead of two. I also had it bustled for the reception and the majority of our photos.
Our entry way featured a 40 foot tall Christmas tree.
We were married in front of the marble fireplace in the Amber Room with a 20 foot wreath glowing above us.
After the ceremony we celebrated in the Grand Salon.
Our centerpieces were hand painted silver Manzanita trees decorated with blue accent ornaments. The trees were centered inside white flowers with green Miller leaves.
Our cake was a white butter cream frosting with 4 layers of flavors. We had marbled, white with strawberry, chocolate and our top tier we saved was marbled. The snowflakes were fondant. Our cake topper was custom made.
We loved every aspect of our wedding and how it all turned out. We planned our wedding for 13 months and it was everything we dreamed it would be.
